a lil' peek..those canvas are my first I did of the kids waaaay back in the day. They still mean so much to me. They were my first attempt :)

Love my cuttlebuggie..Jorjy adores it too. Its usually on her craft table :) All 6 year old's should have their own desk in the craft studio mama! yes, they should babygirl!

Hi, my name is Niella.

I neglected my blog.

Wow, its been several months since I blogged. Can I even get back into it?

Can I? Of course I can. So, here I am:)

I took some pics of inspo today..first is a bird's eyeview of my 12" x 12" paper organiser w/ wheels and a cool tray on top to keep things all nice and tidy..oh, yes, i still love Seafoam and all its family members of Aqua, Turquoise etc. Melts me everytime.

To the right, there is some RK&P goodness going on there...these will be ready for the big release date which will be as soon as. Labels, pretty patterned papers, paperbags, doilies, paper straws oh, so sweet. So be sure to keep an eye out :)

And some more kits :) these will be featuring my fave colours Seafoam, blues and red and maybe Kraft. Oh how I adore Kraft. Love the bicycle post it note too :)

This kit Sweet Pea has washi tape, red labels, index cards, library cards and glassine bags to name a few..i'm in love with this kit.

I'm been looking through some old pics and i love the colour in these:-) My canvas featuring Asian candy packaging and my felt flower brooches xx.
You see,
I'm going thru a faze at the mo where I'm making neutral tones accents, so seeing
this colour is a nice change.
I'm still
big on my colour palette - but you know how it is when you're going through
and obsession.
And
neutral tonage it is.

Happy Valentines Day! I work for a Tertiary provider and we have four different
branches, so whenever I responded or emailed follow collegues today, I'd end it
with Happy Valentines Day :-)

Wow!

we've had such an awesome welcome back and orders

everynight for the last month, I've been spending at least 2 hours
in the craft studio (heehee, love saying that...more like made over
garage) and i've just been playing around with my sprays, punches,
papers and bits and pieces and making new pretties for rk+p :-)

nothing inspires more,

than to whip out my scraps of goodness and going thru all
the sweet lil' pieces.

than to sit at my desk and look around at the shelves and
organised (and disorganised) things and bottles and piles of
happiness.

than to look at my rolls of paper and felt swatches all in a row.

to make some lil' things, but nothing in particular.

well, you get my drift. lol.

which brings me to another project...

The house is messy...I'm in the middle of threading my new
sewing machine and connecting the wi-fi printer...but i just had to
stop and smell the roses and upload some things I've been
feverishly working over the weekend! Nothing else has been
done! I've just been (with lil' miss next to me on her desk)
crafting all weekend :-) its been wondrous...now the house
is looking dangerous lol. gotta love these times.

Wow! Ten years later much?

Lol.

I've been so busy with work and family life, that my crafting has taken a serious backseat! Poor papergoodness!

2010 has been fabulous otherwise! New house, work is great, family is growing and for Christmas Santa brought us an amazing new computer! I've needed one for ages...totally love all 22" of it (well, the screen I mean heehee).

Time to get back into crafting (I have promised and scheduled this in for the New Year) yusss sireee:)

We are converting our internal garage into my craft oasis...RK+P will be updated, papergoodness will be pumping and blogging will be more frequent!

I can't wait! Most of my craft goodness is still boxed up...I love digging thru it all and being totally happy:)

just returned back from the movies! (its an Auckland Anniversary Holiday day) and Astro boy was today's pick from miss Jorjy:)

its pretty cool..boring slightly but that is probably because on Friday David + I had just seen one of the coolest movies ever. ever.

but astro/toby is really cute himself. and this movie has sooo many morals its so heartening:) seriously.

what I'm still waiting to see is this...it looks so fantastic. loves. none of the kids wanted to see it when it came to their pick over the holidays, and can't see it being chosen for a fri nite date night... lol. and none of my friends are dying to see it...so i'll just have to wait for the dvd. sigh.

the movie of all movies, was a w e s o m e! you experience Avatar 3D, not watch it. it is one of the most greatest things ever. titantically amazing.

3D is far better than the "plain" version I've heard. and it must be true, because the graphics are one in million, actually one in a billion. billion dollars that is:):)

This sweet owlie tin that is! Auntie Bee + Uncle Marc brought this gorgeous tin case for Miss J the 2nd, several weeks ago for her 4th birthday. hahahaaaa...can you hear my laugh coming through your speakers? Ok- maybe not, but I'm laughing cos I actually got to do some scrapping today. YES- today. I have these shots (sooo blurry) of Miss J so I had to get a start on. Most are totally crazy and you can't really see anything except a head of crazy hair and fuchsia trackies! hahaaa...I was just taking all these "action" shots of her jumping on the bed going all crazy! So fun. They are last year's craziest shots I'd say. I think action shots rock. Seriously. So candid and unplanned. Ok! Not really..but whats up my friends. I have been in a cycle of the same old routine day in, day out! Can't wait for the school hols when I get one week to rest, relax and repurpose! Oh joy. But one thing we have been keeping up to date is the movies! (our fave get away spot!) and have seen X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Terminator Salvation and Transformers 2: Rise of the Fallen! Oh boy...love action movies so much. We are really just a couple of kids really. LOL:-)But of course, can't go past a good romance too. Oh and can't wait for New Moon! Seen the preview? Awesome.

I'm feeling a bit behind on the creative side of things! Apart from throwing together a quick layout, I long for a sit at my desk and to have time to look through my scrap stash. Do you ever feel that way? That you miss looking at your stash of things? I certainly do! And a play around of this and that.

Anyways, RK&P has been keeping me busy and also my course, domestic bliss and our children! I long for the weekends:-) I always did, but with everything full time I R E A L L Y long for the weekend...are you feelin' me?! But, I wouldn't want it any other way. One of Jorjy's mini books I made for her a while ago! It was in one of my old cropping bags! Dang...I seriously thought I'd lost it. It was so nice to go through it and talk to her about it again. This time being w/ her being a bit older (and me too LOL) she understood better all the lil' details I wrote in it. She has since slipped it into her backpack to show her nana tomorrow! Sweetie. But I did photograph some of the pages for you to see:-) This book is so bulky, the pages are chipboard...choc full of embellies. Isn't that just the way though. Giggle.

here are three of the seven I've made for a lil' (but sweet) swap I'm having:-) Woot. I have to swap two each but I got so happy making cards (my first love) that I made seven! So, it could be these ones or one of the others! giggles...can never have enough handmade cards in case I'm thinkin'.

"Enjoy"....materials: AC cardstock, Pink Paislee alphas, old book paper, vintage button, ink, embroidery floss + cardboard. Love the cloud paper background too. From American Crafts of course:-)

"just because"...materials: AC patterned paper, AC rub-ons, Sassafras chipboard sticker, Kaisercraft pearls, scraps + clear button w/ bookpaper backing. Handmade manila folder envie. I love making my own envelopes! Its so fun:-)

"you are a star, forever shining"....materials: AC cardstock, felt star, emb. floss, Hero Arts basic lowercase stamps, AC rub-on phrase, Kawaii papers (from RK+P) and ink. Annnd of course a lil' kraft envie!

so much fun when you get time! This weekend I am going to make some more things, but here's what I finished off today...just relaxin' and listening to some tunes!

A lil canvas! this is only like 4"x6"...so its the size of a photograph! I used my spesh technique of stringing buttons and securing the buttons down! I love this idea:-) Also so C O O L on cards and the like!

{materials: canvas, teal paint, buttons, love Elsie ribbon, HG heart pin, Doodlebug rub-ons, puff paint, felt + some index prints}.

Annnnd this card-turned-art print/hanging! I began making it as part of this card swap that I'm in, and it began to look all wrong to me the more I kept adding on to it! Have you ever had one of those times when this happens? Surely, I'm not the only one LOL!! Anyways, I think it turned out okay...I really do love this paper range from American Crafts...actually I love everything AC..and their cardstock range! Y

The colours are delish and bright. A nice change.

{materials: American Craft accent thickers, alpha thickers, cardstock, patterned paper. Also, used embroidery floss + old book page}.

Yes, I love the distressed look...still!

ooI've been also busy b/c I've gone back to school! That's right, I've decided to upgrade my brain power and skills and do a course! I love it soooo much...I have the coolest peers in my class..and I'm so happy that I'm NOT the oldest, which I thought I might be (LOL)! Really, even though it is full time..it seems to go so fast! Yes, I really do enjoy it so.

....the backlog of layouts that is! Have had time to do lots...both for forum challenges, prompts annnd personal layouts!

Seriously, I've learnt something.

If I find myself to busy to do any scrapping I'm gonna stop and re-evaluate my day. Granted, most days are just to hectic to do a page, but I'm gonna make it a mission this year (yep, a whole year) to do more pages and tackle more photos in these here boxes...I don't need much inspo just time....although nothing inspires me more than to surf and see. There are sooo so many talented scrappers + artists out there. And whether we live in South Africa, US, Europe, or NZ we all share one philosophy...we love photographs and paper, and the chance to preserve our stories. Our thoughts, visions and beliefs.

Now, I just have to keep reminding myself this! Haaaaha.

Found this fun shot from Jorja on our camera! LOL...she took the camera out whilst we were at the local pools. Don't cha just love when your kids use the cam. Seriously, you can now get two year olds that know how to use digital cameras. Last week, Jorja was showing her Nana all her shots. Review, back, click, show and tell, slide show! How's a Nana to keep up!?

Am missing the sunshine now...its been so windy all day...at least it isn't raining for more than a few minutes, as the wind just blows those dark clouds away.

Has anyone seen Slumdog Millionaire? We loved it!! It was actually really good and full of laughs and cries and happiness. Freida Pinto is such a beauty, and the kids are so adorably cute..especially the star! If you've seen it, you'll know who I mean. He is just such a lil' cutie pie!

I know I need to scrapbook some new + improved photos of moi.....Eeek, I only have photo's with my hair up! I have a whole sequence of these photos which were taken last winter! HELLO! Hence the scarf! Hard to believe in this weather that there is such a thing as Winter!! Only now in the evening has it started to cool down...aaaah feel that breeze drifting in! Bliss :)

Polka Do or Dot?

I {heart} POLKA DOTS!

Using some old style wooden pegs I wrapped a strip (16") of cotton PD fabric around it and tied it secure with packaging string and added a vintage flower stem to it. The embroidery floss on the top adds to the charm.

Yesterday was a great day! Kraftbomb and hanging w/ my sissy is just an awesome mix! It was so nice to meet so many new artists and stalls. I have even more faves now:) And I love looking at all the ideas and tidbits for sale. Creative people are indeed the cleverest people in the world! Gigs.

So, I felt inspired to whip up a page. Lil' miss 3 has no problems with me showing her pages...as for Master 7 and Miss soon-to-be 13...well, it just ain't cool no more mum! Hmmm, may have to do some sneaky ones...although they DO yes! Do read my blog. So, does that mean I'm somewhat cool?

Kids are the funniest people in the world aren't they?! In everyday language they tell the truth, they tell ya how it is and when you look hurt they add: but you are cute! So, I have a fat butt BUT I look cute? Well, that's OK then!! LOL:):)

Ok, so for a cuteness (read: need it) pic! This Japanese Kawaii fabric! Isn't it A. Dor. Able! I think it is the sweetest fabric I've seen in ages, and believe me, I've seen (and hoard) alot of fabric! Heehee....the sweet lil' dear is just too...well, dear! And my fave colour teal is featured too.

And a lil' repurposed greeting card! I wish I had time to throw several more together!

On another note! Who is excited about school starting! This is our eldest daughter's final year at primary school (year 8) before she heads of to high school next year! Wow, I fondly remember my first day at high school..hahahaha. I'll save you the drama. Our kids are sooo excited about their stationery packs. I adore new stationery!! I want a new math book..and felts! And nothing beats a brand new backpack and lunchwear! Oh, to be a school kid again..ok, maybe not! .....scrapbooking! How I've missed it. I keep thinking about how our children will love them even more so when they have their own families and future generations. How special that it is that I took the time to make pages with love + details. How special they will be when they have their own albums to hand on. That's what so great about this hobby. Totally made with love.

Soooo, I had to scrapbook it asap:):) Lil' Miss Whizzo. She's made her own Powerpoint presentations with her logo's and drawings. She's 3 going on 30 I tell ya.

Hi-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-i!!!

Thought it about time to get back into a routine! Heehee. Crazy? Yes. Fun? Definately.

I trust you all had a fabulous + beautiful Christmas/New Years! It so fun having holidays, and the family being together and just being relaxed and free!

I have big plans this year. I can't wait. No time like the present...I will let you know as I go along. Twiddle dwiddle dee. Humming along. With my umbrella for the rain and my shades for the sun. Heehee.

Starting in Feb, RK+P will be opening up again, and we plan on having lots of fun stuff happening there. Not just a lil' store, but an ideas station as well. Things that have been made with the materials and kits. And maybe some Guest Designers too. We'd love everyone to jump in and create with our kits. New fabrics, new stuff + vintage finds. Randomgoodness.

Its so good to be getting back into blogging. I've missed it. Well, a lil' bit anyway. Gigs.

So,

this is a very short post! Sorry, so not paper related! (Apart from the book LOL). I'm enjoying the hols. You too huh? Well deserved! I'll get back to normal blogging (is there such a thing? LOL) later. But.....

Have you seen it? Its taken over the Entertainment world! A friend called it Twitlight. I couldn't help but laugh. Actually though, I liked it. Alot. But, it was at times funny! I laughed during some scenes...I can see why they are replacing the director for the sequel; New Moon. The way she directed the movie, it came out a tiny bit like a comedy! But the story line is good. And Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) is just so dam cute in the flick. Can see why teenage girls everywhere are going ga-ga! And I can't wait to bite (pun fun here!) into the book/s! Glad I have seen the flick first though. And, hello is it just me! But did you know that Ella (Kristen Stewart) is the lil' girl that played Jodie Foster's daughter in Panic Room! My, she's grown!

Creative Chaos

Well, Kraftbomb is here again! Dude, the time flies so fast, where have all the months gone!! Here's to the last ever month of 2008! Roll on Christmas + familytime + holidays + pressies!! Another Christmas party (the last offical one) on Wednesday..then I will be busy with the last of the preps (packaging) for Sunday + then packing/posting any last orders for RK&P.

Yippee, my sissy + I adore KB, its the one time where all crafters get together and ooooh + aaaaah over everything!! Its gets crazy-good during midday, so here's too another full day!!

This was my main crafty desk last week! Eeek...I think its a bit (ok, more than a bit) wondrous! Hahahaha!! Annnnd, finally! Yesterday I managed to tidy it all up! Finally dude.

(I have photographed all my craft happenings that I have ready for the market, but will be posting it after Sunday...can't wait to share!)

In between Christmas parties (read: too much food), end of year programmes for school, Christmas shopping, organising life + breathing, I've been creating some more Canvas Art! I really enjoy this sooo much! Creating a bit at a time is what makes me sane really! I don't like sitting still, except when its at my desk making stuff heehee, and even then, I can't stop getting up to pick and pack orders for RK&P!

Thought I'd show some sweet Art that I'd made previously for Kraftbomb. I have now sold ten pieces between the two KB's me + Bee have attended! Woot Dang!

These babies have gone already! Where ever you are my lil' craft happenings, I know you are sitting pretty somewhere! Perhaps waiting to be opened for Christmas! Sweet thoughts.

Re-purpose your Stash

We have been sooooo blessed with the fabulous weather! Oh its just so lush with the sun and the breeze; one just doesn't have enough time to be on-line!! And with the longer hours in the day and the s u n s h i n e, one can't blame one for not blogging..heehee!

Kraftbomb was the bomb! it was so so SOOO fun, my sis + I enjoy it alot and will be there for the December one on the 21st, a lil' change from the usually date of the last Sunday of each month, but just JUST in time for Christmas! Handmade really is the best made! Whether that means scrapbooking, cardmaking, hand sewing etc etc...handmade goodies are always appreciated because, well its not generic hey. Gotta love handmade goodies:):)

I have started creating (actually it never stops LOL) for the next KB, and have designed some felt goodness for the boys too. I will post up pics once I have finished the numbers I wish to complete! Sooo much fun:)

Ok, so! I have also been making these sweet re-purposed greeting cards. They feature Glimmer Mist (oh joy, what fun!) and some MM diecut flower + leaves etc and a random word sticker and some masking tape/packaging tape. Supa easy, but so cool to make! Use up your scraps + make some TODAY!! I'm thinking of bundling these up in threes with a bit of string and having them at Kraftbomb..what do ya think?

Sunny Bright Beautiful Days

It was a perfect day today outside! Oh, so wondrous! We Kiwi's are just so fortunate to spend Christmas through the Summer. Look out beach! It was so lovely today, I actually enjoyed hanging the washing out! Totally enjoyed the sun:) It was cloudless and although I should of taken a photo or two, it would of just been blue everywhere LOL. Perfect. Nice day to create in the sunlight too...and so I did! Topped up the shop and made some ATCs as a bonus for the ATC packs that I've developed. Developed..heh, sounds fun as I repeat myself. Thought I throw in with every pack, one special limited edition card...the birds are authentic vintage pictures that I cut from a child's 1958 storybook.

Wow, what a weekend!

Kraftbomb was awesome! We sold lots of goodies and meet the coolest creative souls! Hi to everyone who popped over for a visit and who purchased our craft happenings. We had so much fun + learnt lots that we will be back again for the November KB!! Yippee:):)

My Re-purposed Greeting Cards nearly SOLD OUT! I had 3 left! Yippee! So, I will definately be re-stocking them. And we had so much positive feedback, we should of provided forms to fill in LOL:) Something for the ego heehee!

Now that KB is over for this month, I will be getting back into scrapbooking! I have missed it ever so much, I got a new batch of photos developed today:) Nothing beats a fresh batch of prints! So, as soon as I pack + send some orders, finish one set of ATCs, send off another batch of ATC's, do some DT work, finish marking my Pathfinders workbooks and assigning the tasks for the last meeting of the year...I will get down with my scrapping! Soon, hopefully! LOL:)

Its a finnnne day for craft happenings:) Love wet weather (sometimes!) cos' it's just so perfect for getting out the scissors and needle! F U N:) So, as promised here are some things I have been working on....

Repurposed Greeting Cards w/ origami paper and felt w/ a vintage button. I have made lots of different colour combos. How addicting sewing machines become. Used red and white thread.

Tons of pretty vibrant + colourful 2" Felt Flowers...these are perffffect for scrapbooking and cardmaking and for collecting for your stash of goodies:) Each one is completely 100% freehand cut and handsewn, no die cuts or templates used! Sooo, each one is different, original and a one off! I've also made a whole bunch w/ pin backs too! So you can wear 'em, share 'em and hang 'em anywhere. We {heart} practical:)

Annnd Swatches of Felt! These will be in the shop too... I am also taking a bunch to Kraftbomb too...tied with pretty polka dot ribbon and wrapped in light peach (v.vintage style) tissue paper.

Hi i i i i!

I've been so supa busy with life! I have neglected my v.sad lil' blog and YOU!

But, you know how it is...things are so busy at the mo (when is it never! LOL) that I haven't had much time to myself. Ok, hope I'm not sounding selfish here.

Last week was spent getting ready for the weekends' camping trip...I teach a bunch (ok, more than a bunch!) of 17 'tweens (11-12year olds) from my church, and so last week was spent preparing their bookwork and pursuits to do on this camping trip. We spent the weekend in Whangaparaoa - Shakespear Regional Park! It is seriously one of the most beautifullest camping spots I've ever been on! The weather was perfect, and we spent the nights sitting by the camp fire and drinking milo and toasting marshmallows! And then the twilight hours telling them to go to sleep! Ha. Wondrous:) And then on Sunday afternoon, we all were treated to Waiwera Hot Pools! Bliss I tell ya.

And then this week I have been supa dupa busy preparing my things for Kraftbomb on Sunday! I've handsewn soooo many felt flowers I haven't even counted them...I love felt!! I've also made a ton of new kits just for the event and some new ones for the shop...so stay tuned:) I promise to show pics of my craft happenings soon...My sissy and I are so excited to be attending! Can't wait:)

I also want to thank all our customers who have been crazy with our Randomkitsandpieces! I will update the shop inventory tonight! Some kits have sold out!! Awesome:)

Ooooh, how I love the night time! Such a night owl...but not during the last few days...I've gone to bed early b/c I've been so utterly exhausted! Do you blame me? LOL....I know you don't. I bet you your days are crazy busy too...even when you get a spare mo, it's to do washing, folding ironing cooking etc...

Been busy getting stock for the shop and making projects for Kraftbomb as well:) New fabrics and felt flowers and handmade envies...lush. Am thinking just for KB, the gift wrapping option of packaging should be extra special with kraft paperbags or wrapped with kraft paper and tied with pink or orange polka dot ribbon! Lush. Can't wait for Kraftbomb...my sis and I will be there...with our table of craft happenings. Look for the seafoam polka dot tablecloth and doilies. Swoon:) Annnd, be sure to come over and say hi!!

And, here's some eye candy....

Top: Japanese fabric! I love. Couldn't resist the mushrooms and lil details on the canvas style cloth.

Middle: pink and turquoise fabric with pin polka dots:) Endless possiblities.

Bottom: Pink graph style fabric...can imagine journal covered papergoodness with this.

Mini canvas panels...this size is 3"x4"...itty bitty-ish:) Art work for your inspo board or bookshelf. Your windowsill is calling ;)

this one is a itty bitty bigger! 5"x7" and covered with an old sewing pattern and random bits and pieces.

Does anyone else like to visit their local Salvation Army and pop in to really aged antique stores? I bet you do.

I love looking and driving in, and seeing all the fabulous Vintage stuff and the antique furniture. Fun. Especially good if you get some bargins and get to help raise funds for a fab charity. I love old books! Nothing like the aged edges and the yellowing-ness of it all:):)

This is an IttyBittyKit that we have in the shop! The pages are from a cool little book featuring cool old style illustrations from the 60's...groovy dude!!

Beautiful day today! The weather was perfect! Soooo, Bee & I had to get out there and have heaps of fun shopping and checking out KraftBomb{a craft market}in Grey Lynn, Auckland. Lots of cute, sweet stuff! So hard to choose what to get..but scored some real sweet deals and took some random photos to share!

I've been sick since Thursday night...sorry I haven't even had any energy to get up!! After two solid days in bed (thanks honey!) I've recovered enough to update the shop and eat some tea! A big thanks to Roo who sent me some fabulous lil' stamps (that click together for storage) for my birthday and also to Carol who sent me some things too!! An apple punch that she knew I loved loved loved!! and some extra lil' things:) So mega sweet of both of you girls...I feel very very special:) Totally surprised!! Heehee:):)ssssh, don't tell them, but I have some lil' things for them too! giggle piggle:)

Anyweez, I had to do a "missing" layout in my son's album...you know what I mean by "missing" don't ya? Well, it's when there should be a page in the album with a photo you have taken of a time/event but didn't have/get time to do it into a layout. IYKWIM:) I'm not the only one like this am I? LOL!! I have hidden journalling under the photo...he can lift the photo by the flap and read it when he's older (its a secret until then) heehee:) The two illustration stickers of Action Adam are drawn by my supa talented BIL Marc. Jorjy wrote something on the back of this layout too...a big letter "J"! Haha...the scarlet letter me thinks:):)

Circle Journal 2008

So, home it has returned!! Over at SBO my friend Rangi started another CJ thread asking who was interested in doing another CJ (Circle Journal)...yippee...yes please!! So, 12 girls signed up including me and then the journey began:) It was begun in January of this year (where has the time gone?) and now it is home..and girls, it is trully amazing:) Words cannot express how happy I am with it. Thanks girls...thanks Rangi, for sending it home to me early:):) I can't believe its mine to keep!! Wahooo:):)

To get a size of it in your heads, its return packaging says it weighs 1.28 kgs, is 8"x9" in size, and thickness is 2.3 inches! Now, thats a book huh!

I've got a lot to show, which I'll do bit by bit (as I think its nice to ask permission from my friends first) sooo I'll start with the cover, tags and my page. The theme for my CJ was "Interview with a Scrap Queen"...yes, you know like Brad's movie ".....with a Vampire" LOL:) And I had all these questions that each had to answer (all Q's were the same) and I asked for photos of scraprooms, desks, crops etc to be included! So, here we go:

NZ Dares

The latest dare over at NZ Dares is a real riot...and sooo weird! But in a good way:) We all have funny and heartwarming photos, but there must also be ones that feature "weird" things/objects/people in your stash as well! This one here had my son and daughter w/ their cousins jumping on a bouncy castle at the Easter Show a couple years ago and along come this girl with untied long hair, so when she jumped it would cover her face. So I added the title "Cousin It" to the layout. Heehee..cracks me up!

Daily Cards

I so love making daily cards! I know alot of you do too.

These are ATC size and really are just made of scraps, photos and little accents. I keep them in some card sleeves that I can just flip through for inspo and when I just wanna see what I wrote...it's kinda like a visual diary/journal....although I haven't made many since blogging! I think I will take a few minutes to throw one together tonight. I plan on handing these on to my kids to have when they are older so they can have a looksie at some of the things mummy did when they were youngsters:) LOL!!

Annnnd, also there will be a new prompt tomorrow over at The Creative Type....so I want you all to hop on over there and join in!! Jump out of your square (or oval, circle, scallop etc) and have a go! A fun giveaway from fellow DT member Jen will be up for grabs too....yippee:)

...I love to make things heehee...and I know you all do too....so to add even more colour to my day, I made some paperbag things! To house my mini books and handmade cards and craft happenings. I adore anything Kraft coloured, especially paperbags....which, reminds me, boy, have you seen what the creative dolls at Hambly Studios have come up with?!! Drivin' me nuts with all that Kraft lovin'!! Can't wait to get my hands on some of the stickers:):) So happy.

Annnd, this is a fun case!! its a paint palette and when opened up it has all these little sections for mixing and squinting your paints into! Love the outside of it:):) All that fun-ness and colour, not to mention the cute comic style illustrations!! Ka-pow:)

Its 10.5"x 5" when closed, so its a good size palette for my paints!

My sis Bee and I have started a little fun shop called randomkitsandpieces! Now, these things are not your average scrapbooking supplies...not that you can't use them on your pages...heck, I do!! LOL...no, these things are fun and random! Vintage collectables, found objects, buttons, fabrics, bits and pieces really. Sooo, take a look, and please feel free to leave a comment or email me for any enquires:D New things will be added every few days (at least) and updated daily on whats in stock, b/c kits and pieces are limited!

I have been supa excited over the last couple days....so now I can share the cool news!

I am now offically on The Creative Type team:):) Happy happy me! Have nearly finished this mini book that I started several months ago..it is one of those projects that hangs around and that I work on when I need to take a break from other things!

Ooooh today is a gorgeous sunny, warm day! L O V E days like this:) Can't wait for spring! Made a fun and different kind of canvas art today...you can too! Using felt material, black cardstock, a few basic accents (mine are paper flowers, button and embroidery floss)...I made a shadow canvas! First use a photo or image with a side profile like this one of Jorja...trim around the photo and place it over a sheet of black c/stock and trace, then cut out using sharp, pointed scissors...adhere it to a sheet of felt and trim in a oval...then adhere it to another sheet of felt and cut into a scallop shape or whatever you like...

....add some accents...and adhere to pre-painted canvas...and bam! there you have it:):) Something unique and f u n!

Great pressies for Christmas..not really that long to go!!

The canvas size is 6"x8", but really you could incorporate the idea to any size...those teeny weeny canvas' would be a supa cute size too:P

Annnd, I quickly threw this layout together...I was inspired by my friend Lou...who is so creative and artistic she makes me so so SO happy with her stuff!
